Jolene Schaefer
Partner
I believe a key difference in which companies succeed and fail lies in how they select, cultivate, and develop their employees. I joined Modern because I want to be part of a team that is building a disruptive (and evidence-based) approach to Talent and Culture, while working with like-minded individuals and bettering our communities at the same time.
Jolene Schaefer is a Partner at Modern, with over 15 years of experience spanning across Healthcare, Talent Development, Culture and Change, and Capability Building.
Prior to Modern, Jolene was the Division President, North Region of Unified Women’s Healthcare, the largest Physician Practice Management company dedicated solely to women. While at Unified she worked to improve the care and lives of women by maintaining strategic, operational, and financial responsibility for the Northeast and Midwest US regions.
Jolene also spent six years at McKinsey & Company where she had demonstrated success in leading complex Transformations across a variety of global clients and industries. While at McKinsey she built her expertise in Talent Development, Culture and Change, and Capability Building. More specifically, she helped to build McKinsey’s premier Capability Building offering for clients undergoing Transformations (“Ability to Execute”) and delivered that program to more than 100 companies and over 80,000 employees globally.
Jolene earned her B.S.N. from the University of Michigan and her M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School with concentrations in Healthcare and General Management (Organizational Behavior Change).
