Jen Nelson serves as Modern’s Vice President of Employee Experience, bringing a passion for people and a commitment to fostering an engaging, inclusive, and productive workplace. In her role, Jen focuses on cultivating a positive company culture, promoting employee well-being, and building a cohesive and connected community across the organization.

Prior to her current role, Jen was Modern’s Vice President of Marketing & People, where she led the firm’s marketing and communications efforts while overseeing its people operations function.

Jen’s career spans over 15 years in marketing, communications, and public relations, particularly within the executive recruiting industry. Before joining Modern, she served as Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Development at Ward Howell, an executive search firm. There, she led marketing initiatives for Ward Howell USA and managed partner recruiting and onboarding.

Earlier in her career, Jen was a senior member of the marketing team at Heidrick & Struggles, where she oversaw strategic marketing and communications for the Global CEO & Board Practice. She also was a member of the communications team for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games during an epic chapter in her early career.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
